Walking into Cubic, into my first employment after graduation for the first time was a mix of excitement and nerves, but the warm welcome and onboarding process with HR and May (one of the founders) quickly put me at ease. From the start, I felt like part of a family. One of my first tasks was redesigning the company logo, which allowed me to dive right in and contribute creatively.
Over the weeks, I tackled various rebranding projects, and attending events and meetings alongside the team at the Petronas Tower were unforgettable experiences. Watching May establish relationships and passionately explain V-Cred’s mission was inspiring and taught me a lot about effective communication and the startup ecosystem.
Creating V-Cred’s website, learning Python for machine learning, and working on various projects enriched my technical skills. I gained valuable insights into teamwork and project development, making these experiences both challenging and rewarding. One of the biggest challenges was mastering V-Cred’s Git system. Initially confusing, it became manageable with great patience and guidance from the team. I felt a great sense of accomplishment when I successfully pushed my first data.
From cleaning data files to designing a recruitment poster for Instagram, each task was a learning opportunity. The team’s unyielding support and willingness to help, made every challenge surmountable. Working at V-Cred has been a journey of learning, growth, and meaningful connections. The supportive environment and the chance to learn from experienced professionals in the team made it an invaluable experience. Despite the short workweek due to Hari Raya, the team’s support helped me to manage my time efficiently.

As long as I complete my work correctly and effectively, adhering to the due date, there’s no stress about clocking in specific hours or being tied to a desk. Plus, the working environment here has been very friendly, making it easy to collaborate and comfortable in expressing ideas.
